30 million vehicles a year: The opportunities for Israeli mobility companies in NE Asia (Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan) and different strategies to overcome the challenges
Asia is home to 13 of the top 20 global automotive OEMs. China is the world’s largest automotive market, with over 25 million vehicles sold each year and more than 40% of the world's EVs produced in 2020. Japan is the third largest automotive market and Korea is home to Hyundai, the world's #5 OEM. Vehicles designed and developed in the region are manufactured and sold all over the world.
Asia is leading the world in development, implementation and sales for vehicles enabled with CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Electric) technologies. Despite the challenges of doing business in Asia including language, time zone, and cultural difference, this is a region that companies should prioritize.
In this seminar, our US-based Head of Mobility Thomas Shiekman together with our Israel country manager Eran Eizik will discuss the opportunities for Israeli mobility companies in NE Asia and different strategies to overcome the challenges. Thomas spent 11 years living and working in China and has secured sales and licensing deals worth many millions of dollars with Asia’s leading OEMs and tiers.
