VP Business Development, Intralink
Asia is a region that Israeli mobility companies cannot afford to miss. The region is home to 13 of the top 20 global automotive OEMs. China is the world’s largest automotive market, with over 25 million vehicles sold each year and more than 40% of the world's EVs production in 2020. Japan is the third largest global automotive market and Korea is home world's fifth largest OEM (Hyundai). Most importantly, vehicles designed and developed in the region are manufactured and sold all over the world.
Asia is also ground zero for implementation of new technologies like L4/5, V2X and EVs. The region is leading the world in development, implementation and sales for vehicles enabled with CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Electric) technologies. Despite the challenges of doing business in Asia including language, time zone, and cultural differences, this is a region that companies should prioritize.
In this seminar our US-based Head of Mobility Thomas Shiekman together with our Israel country manager Eran Eizik will provide important insights. Thomas spent 11 years living and working in China and has secured sales and licensing deals worth many millions of dollars with Asia’s leading OEMs and tiers.
