Vice President, Global Automotive Hybrid eMobility Solutions,
Qiong Sun is currently responsible for the automotive eMobility business and oversees product portfolio, technology strategy, product management and future solutions at TE Connectivity. She has over 26 years of transportation experience and diverse industry consulting background.
Prior to joining the company, Ms. Sun was vice president of global electrification business unit at Lear Corporation, responsible for product development and program launches as well as technical and growth strategies for the business. Prior to joining Lear, she served as vice president of global engineering and product management for Tenneco Clean Air Division and led advanced engineering, product development, applications, and launch in emission controls. Prior to joining Tenneco, she served as director for advanced Li-ion batteries and stop-start vehicle batteries at Johnson Controls Power Solutions from 2011 to 2016. She played a key role in establishing and operating the Advanced Battery Technical Center in Shanghai China to support new energy vehicle growth.
Ms. Sun also served as chief engineer at the engineering and strategic consulting firm Ricardo from 2007 through 2011. In this capacity, she was responsible for the overall business and technical leadership in controls and electronics, leading the advanced technology development in new energy vehicle propulsion systems and infrastructure. She won the CEO award for her leadership on initiating, developing and commercializing an innovative EV charging station product. Ms. Sun started her career at ZF-TRW in 1995, holding various positions in engineering and program management for the design and production launch of multiple advanced driver assistance systems.
